Flavors
9-DAME and 1-decene from Verbio life chemicals are innovative, bio-based feedstocks for the flavor industry. Typical applications can be found in the area of C10 derivatives, or milk lactone as an additive in milk, butter, or cream, as well as 1,2-Decanediol with a wide range of uses in food and beverages. In addition, novel products can also be synthesized with the use of our bio-based raw materials.
Fragrances
9-DAME and 1-decene exhibit great versatility in the production of fragrances. 9‑DAME serves as a feedstock for complex macrocycles and musk fragrances such as ambrettolide or civetone, which can be obtained from 9‑DAME within just a few steps and are important components in modern fragrance creations. Rosalva and/or dec-9-en-1-ol can also be easily produced from 9‑DAME. Among other applications, 1-decene can be converted into 2-Methylundecanal, a main component of classic fragrance compositions in the industry, using proven process steps and established technology. 2-Methylundecanal is used as a top note in many perfumes and adds an orange or amber note to the product.
