Our products for household
and industrial cleaning
Verbio life chemicals offers three vegetable oil-based raw materials for the development of modern products for household and industrial use, namely 1-decene, 9-DAME and glycerin. All of these components can be processed into high-performance products, making them ideal for use in surfactants and solvents destined for both private and professional environments.
Surfactants
As bio-based C10 building blocks, 9-DAME and 1-decene are ideally suited to the development of surfactants. Whether as an amino acid derivative or ethoxylate, as a building block for LAB (linear alkyl-benzene) or for use in sugar-based surfactants, 9-DAME makes it possible for manufacturers to adopt new approaches even in established processes. Our rapeseed-based 9-DAME can also serve as a substitute for C10 from tropical oils, as a derivative of decanoate or 1-decanol. Readily available 9-DAME means that bottlenecks and delivery problems with C10 derivatives such as C10 fatty acids or C10 fatty alcohols can be avoided. 1-decene can be directly integrated into existing value chains.
Solvents
Glycerin plays a multifunctional role in cleaning and care products for household and industrial use. As a humectant, stabilizer, and softener, it significantly improves the performance of modern cleaning formulations. It has proven particularly effective in skin-friendly applications such as detergents for hand dishwashing. The excellent solubility properties of 9-DAME make it ideally suited to challenging industrial applications, such as combating grease and oil-based stains, degreasing, and removing paint residues or graffiti.
