In 1-decene and 9-DAME, Verbio life chemicals offers two versatile rapeseed-based specialty chemicals that find application in a wide range of industries.

Both molecules are outstanding for their high purity, defined reactivity, bio-based origin, and low carbon footprint – properties that meet the key requirements of modern industrial applications. Their molecular structure allows for targeted further processing in a wide range of areas, for example, in high-performance lubricant formulations, functional coating, adhesive and sealing systems (CASE), polymer materials, and other special applications in the chemical industry.

RCI concept

The Renewable Carbon Initiative (RCI) aims to completely replace fossil carbon with renewable sources. To this end, three alternative carbon sources are used, namely biomass, CO2 and recycled material. These sources are used to produce chemicals, plastics, and numerous other materials, thereby reducing emissions, avoiding fossil fuel dependencies, and recycling carbon.
